                                    Association of Arab Universities 29Professor Alsoud also called for the establishment of an Arab fund for applied scientific research, the promotion of researcher exchange among Arab countries, and the development of governance and funding frameworks to ensure the sustainability of scientific cooperation and its tangible impact on societies across the region.As part of the forum%u2019s activities, Professor Walid Salameh, Advisor to AArU, participated in a panel discussion on %u201cScience Diplomacy and Open Science.%u201d The session addressed the importance of leveraging science diplomacy as a tool to strengthen regional and international collaboration in research and innovation, and the role of open science in promoting free access to knowledge and accelerating the exchange of research outcomes. He stressed that the Association of Arab Universities is working to establish a shared Arab framework for scientific research based on openness, collaboration, and the practical application of research outcomes, through key initiatives such as specialized Arab research networks, joint digital platforms, and researcher exchange programs among member universities.The forum concluded with practical recommendations aimed at enhancing Arab coordination in scientific research and opening new horizons for regional and international partnerships.
