26Offcial Visit to the University of Sharjah in Preparation for Hosting the 58th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities in 2026Association of Arab UniversitiesLaying the Groundwork for the 58th AArU General Conference in Sharjah.This morning, His Excellency Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), accompanied by Prof. Anas Ratib Alsoud, Executive Director of the Association, and Ms. Lina Albitar, Director of the General Administration, paid an oflcial visit to the University of Sharjah.They were warmly received by Prof. Esam Agamy, Chancellor of the University, and Prof. Hussein Mehdi, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.The visit came as part of the preparations for hosting the 58th General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, which will be held at the University of Sharjah in April 2026.During the meeting, the parties discussed the organizational framework, main themes, and strategic partnerships that will make this conference a landmark event in the advancement of Arab higher education.Prof. Esam Agamy reaflrmed the university%u2019s strong commitment to ensuring the success of this distinguished regional academic gathering.
