Attendees included representatives of civil society and leading health organizations, along with media and health experts from Egypt and abroad.Nasr stated that health communication and the empowerment of contemporary communities touch the core of the challenges and opportunities facing the health sector amid today%u2019s rapid developments. She highlighted health communication as a powerful tool for raising awareness, changing behaviors, and empowering individuals and communities to make informed decisions about their health.She added that the support of Cairo University, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Association of Arab Universities for this conference is clear evidence of the great importance that academic and national institutions place on media and health issues, and their deep belief in the pivotal role of scientific and intellectual cooperation in achieving sustainable development and improving the quality of life for members of society.Dr. Mahmoud El-Saeed, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, expressed his pleasure at attending the Faculty of Mass Communication and accepting the invitation to the conference held under the university%u2019s sponsorship. He commended the faculty administration for choosing such a timely and important topic, emphasizing the need to strengthen communication to build an aware society capable of adopting healthy lifestyles.He added that the conference includes a variety of sessions covering important topics such as the Egyptian state's efforts in healthcare, aiming to enhance quality of life as one of the key goals of Egypt%u2019s Vision 2030.
