Unlike traditional universities, the Academy will focus on cutting-edge certifications and professional training, offering unique, interdisciplinary programs tailored to the evolving needs of the job market, industry, and innovation ecosystems in the region.The Academy will serve as a center of excellence offering specialized, non-degree certifications in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Green and Blue Economies, Sustainable Innovation, Digital Transformation, Heritage Management, and Social Entrepreneurship. Its mission is to fill a critical gap between traditional academic education and rapidly shifting labor market demands, especially for youth, women, and early-career professionals across the Mediterranean basin.Designed to complement, not duplicate, existing universities, the Academy will stand out through its exceptional programs, regional integration, and industry-aligned curricula. It will also promote mobility, cross-cultural exchange, and inclusive access to future skills, acting as a hub for North-South Mediterranean cooperation.Speaking at the signing ceremony, Prof. Salama emphasized: %u201cThis initiative reflects our shared commitment to building a bridge of knowledge and innovation between Europe and the Arab world.
