Association of Arab Universities Participates in the 9th International Conference on Electronic Publishing at the University of JordanProfessor Anas Ratib Alsoud, Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), took part in the 9th International Conference on Electronic Publishing, which commenced today in Amman, Jordan. The conference is organized by the Library of the University of Jordan, in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI), under the theme: %u201cThe Interconnection between Knowledge Capital, Human Capital, and Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education Institutions%u201d, and held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Nathir Obeidat, President of the University of Jordan.Dr. Alsoud emphasized that the participation of the Association reffiects its belief in the pivotal role played by Arab higher education institutions in building knowledge capital and embracing digital transformation and generative artificial intelligence in advancing education and scientific research. He noted that His Excellency Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, consistently underscores the importance of strengthening partnerships among university associations, libraries, and information centers to promote open knowledge access and ensure the sustainability of Arab scientific research.Dr. Alsoud also highlighted that the conference chair, Dr. Mujahid Thenibat, heads one of the Association%u2019s aflliated institutions, the Arab Thesis and Dissertation Depository Center, hosted by the University of Jordan.The conference brought together a distinguished group of academics and experts from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Oman, the United Kingdom, and France, and featured scientific sessions, specialized workshops, and a technology exhibition showcasing the latest digital applications in libraries and higher education.The event serves as an important scientific platform for discussing the future of knowledge in the era of technological transformation, and for reinforcing the integration between artificial intelligence and human capital across Arab and global universities.Association of Arab Universities 38Association of Arab Universities Participates in the 9th International Conference on Electronic Publishing at the University of Jordan
