The Social Service Association of the Association of Arab Universities, in collaboration with the Department of Social Work at the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS), organized a scientific conference titled \Month for Social Work. The conference was held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Badaro branch.The conference was distinguished by the presence of a group of experts and practitioners in the field, including Ms. Sahira Mataweh, Secretary-General of the community service Association of the Association of Arab Universities, along with active participation from civil society organizations, academics, and students.The conference activities began with a welcoming speech to the attendees, followed by a speech from Dr. Hatem Allameh, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, who emphasized the pivotal role of social work in achieving sustainable community development. He stressed that child protection and women%u2019s empowerment should be top priorities in social policies, as they represent a fundamental pillar for a fairer and more stable future.This was followed by a speech from Professor Amal Hawari, Head of the Department of Social Work, who opened by paying tribute and respect to every social work specialist on the occasion of World Social Work Day. She affirmed that their efforts form the essential backbone of building a stronger society.
