As part of its efforts to strengthen Arab academic collaboration, His Excellency Mr. Mondher Belhadj, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Tunisia, received on Monday, April 15, 2025, a delegation from the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), headed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Anas Alsoud, Executive Director of the Association, and Ms. Lina Al-Bitar, Director of the General Administration. The meeting took place at the Ministry%u2019s headquarters in the capital, Tunis, in the presence of several senior ministry officials.During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister praised the vital role played by the Association of Arab Universities in supporting the higher education system across the Arab world. He commended the Association%u2019s strategic initiatives and its impactful projects, as well as the active participation of Tunisian universities in its activities.For his part, the Secretary-General presented an overview of the Association%u2019s key programs and initiatives, including the Arab University Ranking project, academic accreditation initiatives, and programs focused on quality assurance and research development.The discussions also addressed ways to enhance the engagement of Tunisian universities within the various structures of the Association and to establish strategic partnerships within the framework of Arab joint academic cooperation, while also expanding connections with regional and international academic networks.
