Association of Arab Universities 35Oficial Visit of the Secretary-Generalof the Association of Arab Universitiesto the Lebanese University toStrengthen Joint CooperationBeirut %u2013 3 October 2025His Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), conducted an oficial visit to the Lebanese University, during which he met with Prof. Dr. Bassam Badran, President of the University. The meeting focused on exploring avenues to enhance collaboration across various academic, scientiffc, and cultural domains, particularly through the Association of Colleges of Fine Arts in Arab Universities, a member of the AArU hosted by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Lebanese University.The visit included a tour of the Raffc Hariri University Campus %u2013 Hadath, accompanied by President Badran and Mrs. Lina Al-Bitar, Director of the General Administration at the Association of Arab Universities. The ffrst stop was the Faculty of Fine Arts, where Dr. Salama engaged with students in the presence of Dr. Hisham Zein El-Din, Dean of the Faculty, Eng. Nawal Boudani, Director of the First Branch, along with heads of academic departments and several members of the academic and administrative staffl.During the visit, Dr. Salama reafirmed the Association%u2019s commitment to supporting joint initiatives and promoting collaboration with the Lebanese University through its specialized faculties and research centers, with the aim of advancing higher education in the Arab world.
