Association of Arab Universities 26The Association of Arab UniversitiesSigns Cooperation Protocol with theEgyptian Ministry of Awqaf to EnhanceAcademic and Community PartnershipOn Saturday, 27 September 2025, the Association of Arab Universities signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf at the Ministry%u2019s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This strategic step aims to strengthen the framework for academic and community collaboration between the two parties. The protocol was signed by Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, and Prof. Osama El-Sayed Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf of Egypt.The protocol seeks to enhance joint cooperation in areas including the exchange of expertise, conducting scientific research and studies, and organizing specialized lectures, training programs, and workshops. It also includes the exchange of publications and scientific journals, coordinating efforts to hold conferences and seminars addressing societal issues, as well as matters related to awqaf (endowments), and promoting social and cultural awareness. The protocol also establishes a joint committee to follow up on the implementation of its provisions and ensure the achievement of its intended objectives.The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Randa Mahmoud Rizk, Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, along with a number of senior offlcials from the Ministry.
