The Association of Arab Universities and Moscow State University Launch a Joint Space Project to Study ExoplanetsAssociation of Arab Universities 15Professor Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, and Professor Dr. V. A. Sadovnichy, Rector of Moscow State University and President of the Russian Union of Universities, signed an agreement to launch a pioneering scientific project: the establishment of a Russian%u2013Arab space observatory dedicated to the study of exoplanets and the search for signs of life in the universe. The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Anas Ratib Al-Soud, Executive Director of the Association.During the signing ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Association stated: %u201cWe are pleased to take today a qualitative step forward in strengthening cooperation between Arab and Russian universities. Since 2018, four successful conferences of university presidents have been held, and the fifth will be hosted in Egypt at the end of this year. This historic agreement to establish a space observatory for the study of exoplanets and the search for signs of life stands as a remarkable example of scientific collaboration between Russia and the Arab world in the field of space research.%u201d
