AArU Delegation Headed by theSecretary-General, Visits the Universityof Benghazi in LibyaAssociation of Arab Universities 08As part of strengthening Arab academic cooperation and supporting higher education institutions in sisterly Libya, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, H.E. Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, accompanied by the Executive Director Prof. Anas Ratib Alsoud, Director of General Administration Ms. Lina Al-Bitar, and the Association%u2019s Advisor Mr. Zakaria Shehab, paid an offlcial visit to the University of Benghazi from 7%u20139 September 2025.The delegation held a fruitful meeting with the University Council and the Deans of Faculties, which addressed ways to enhance joint academic and research cooperation. The delegation was also accompanied by the President of the University, Prof. Izzedine Alderssi, on a field tour of the university%u2019s facilities, many of which had been damaged during the war but have since been rebuilt and modernized in a contemporary style that reffiects the political will and national determination to restore the prestige of this historic institution.
