The award recognizes his outstanding contributions to higher education, scientific research, technology, tourism, health, culture, and sustainable development.High-Level AttendanceThe event was attended by an elite group of distinguished figures, including academics, university presidents, deans, current and former ministers. It was held under the patronage of Major General Dr. Khaled Fouda, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Development and Heritage, and honorary president of AFASU. Also in attendance was His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, Advisor to the President for Health Affairs, alongside media figures, writers, and journalists.Inspirational AchievementsIn his speech, Major General Dr. Khaled Fouda praised Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama%u2019s well-deserved recognition, describing him as a prominent academic figure who has held multiple leadership positions in higher education institutions across Egypt and the Arab world.Dr. Salama holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK, and has made significant scientific and research contributions in his field. He has served as Egypt%u2019s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, playing a crucial role in developing educational policies and advancing research within Egyptian universities.As Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Salama has led numerous initiatives aimed at fostering academic cooperation among Arab universities.
