The initiative is managed by the Association of Arab Universities in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and remains open to collaboration with specialized Arab and international resources through contributions from Arab universities, the %u201cStudent-to-Student%u201d campaign, voluntary donations from education sector personnel, as well as direct support from Arab higher education institutions and Arab and international development funds.%u2022 Infrastructure: Around %90 of university buildings in Gaza were damaged, with %38 completely destroyed, resulting in a severe loss of facilities.%u2022 Human Losses: More than 195 academics were martyred, and thousands were injured, including 915 students.%u2022 Educational Impact: Approximately 88,000 students have been deprived of continuing their education.%u2022 Financial Crisis: Losses amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, including $76 million at Al-Azhar University and $54 million at Al-Aqsa University, have led to an inability to cover essential operational expenses.Post-War Challenges (2025%u20132023)To ensure the continuity of Palestinian higher education through urgent and strategic interventions targeting universities and higher education institutions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.General Objective of the Initiative
