and sustainable development.Prof. Salama emphasized the necessity of coordinating joint efforts and Arab integration across all fields, especially vital sectors like education, health, energy, food security, agriculture, and climate. He advocated for developing shared Arab solutions grounded in science and the realities of the unified Arab world to address the prominent challenges facing these crucial sectors.He also highlighted the importance of involving Arab universities in playing a significant and central role in tackling current and future Arab challenges across various life aspects that serve Arab societies. He underscored the need to devise innovative and practical solutions based on the wealth of scientific elites%u2014scholars, experts, and thinkers%u2014in all fields.On the sidelines of the meetings, Prof. Salama met with Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League; Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General; and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs. He also engaged with heads and secretaries of participating Arab institutions and organizations, as well as representatives of Arab member states in the Economic and Social Council and directors of departments in the General Secretariat of the League.During the meetings held in Baghdad, several vital topics were discussed, most notably the preparation of draft resolutions for the Arab Summit.These meetings are considered a pivotal step toward unifying Arab visions ahead of the summit, which will address the priorities of joint action in light of current regional and international challenges.by Association of Arab Universities 12
