Association of Arab Universities Announces the Launch of the Third Edition of the Arab Ranking for UniversitiesThe Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, announced during a virtual meeting held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, attended by the Association%u2019s Executive Director Prof. Anas Al-Saud, that the launch of the third edition of the Arab Ranking For Universities comes as part of the Association%u2019s continued efforts to promote academic excellence, enhance competitiveness among higher education institutions in the Arab world, align with developments in global ranking systems, and improve the accuracy and quality of assessment results.The updated edition of the ranking maintains the same four main criteria, which include Teaching and learning, scientific research, Creativity and innovation, and Cooperation indicator. Prof. Salama emphasized that university performance is assessed using 36 quantitative and qualitative indicators developed in collaboration with regional and international experts.He added that the third edition represents a qualitative leap in data collection and analysis mechanisms. The entire process%u2014data entry, verification, weighting, and calculation of indicators%u2014has been fully automated.
