Cairo %u2013 The Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, met at the headquarters of the League of Arab States with Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Muqbil, Director of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Faraj Al-Ajmi, Director of the Department of Education, Teaching and Scientific Research at the League of Arab States, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Koufi, former Minister of Higher Education in the Republic of Yemen.The participants discussed prospects for joint cooperation and coordination between the two sides, given the many commonalities in their work toward improving the overall quality of education, with a particular focus on higher education.Dr. Salama provided a brief overview of the key projects and programs the Association has completed or is currently undertaking at both the Arab and international levels.
