The Arab Ranking for Universities Council, established in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Association of Arab Universities, the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils (FASRC), and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), proudly presents the Arab Ranking for Universities platform.
This comprehensive ranking system is based on four main criterion:
- Teaching and Learning
- Scientific Research
- Creativity, Leadership, and Innovation
- International and Local Cooperation and Community Service
Each criterion is evaluated through nine carefully selected indicators, each with specific weightings to ensure fairness, relevance, and transparency. The ranking serves as a strategic framework that motivates academic institutions to pursue continuous development and excellence in education and research. It also supports their evolution into third- and fourth-generation universities. To facilitate this transformation, two open science indicators have been introduced. These focus on enhancing international collaboration and involving end-users to convert research outcomes into impactful innovations that benefit society. This initiative aims to attract distinguished faculty members and high-achieving students from both local and international communities. The Arab Ranking for Universities Council extends its sincere appreciation to all universities that participated in the 2023 Arab University Rankings.
